May 29 (Xinhua) — According to a message on the "Customs Release" WeChat official account, Qingmao Customs, under Gongbei Customs, recently seized a case in which a traveler entered the country with 52 used Apple mobile phones strapped to their body.

At around 8 a.m. on May 24, a traveler wearing a dark blue striped shirt entered through the "nothing to declare channel" at the passenger inspection site of Qingmao Port. Customs officers noticed that the person appeared abnormal and intercepted them. Upon inspection, officers found used Apple mobile phones strapped to the traveler's waist, abdomen, thighs and calves with plastic film and elastic bandages, totaling 52 units.

Customs reminder: According to relevant regulations, evading customs supervision by concealment, disguise, false declaration or other means, and transporting, carrying or mailing goods or articles that are prohibited or restricted from entering or leaving the country, or goods or articles on which duties should be paid according to law, constitutes smuggling.
