"You ask me how deep my love is, how much I love you..." Jane, a Zimbabwean girl with a distinctive hairstyle, sang this familiar song with deep feeling in Chinese.
On the evening of the 28th, by the banks of the Huangnan River in Kanbula Town, Jianzha County, Huangnan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province, a highland "good voice" drew guests from all around — the first Guriyangma Beautiful and Harmonious Village Concert was being held here.

The concert venue was packed, with the audience seated in rings around the stage. As the melody of the songs shifted, the audience swayed their glow sticks in the highland night.
When the invited Jane took the stage, she drew continuous applause, and many villagers presented flowers and hada to express their affection and admiration for this girl from afar.
For Jane, visiting Jianzha for the first time, the villagers' warmth made her a little shy. She said, "Compared with flowers, the hada and hugs of the Tibetan people feel even more sincere."
"I like China very much, and I like Qinghai very much too. I also envy the people here, because they have wonderful daily lives and beautiful hometown scenery nestled against the mountains and by the water," she said.
When the reporter mentioned that the clear river beside the village is the Yellow River, China's second-longest river, Jane looked a little surprised. She said, "So in Qinghai, the source province, the Yellow River isn't yellow — it's emerald green."
Jane hopes her family and friends far away in Zimbabwe can see Qinghai's cultural charm. She said, "I often show them my daily life on social platforms, and they all say they envy it and long for it."

Suddenly, light rain fell from the highland sky, and local Tibetan singer Sangjie Cairang once again lifted the atmosphere with the song "Sweetheart," and many in the audience hummed along. Sangjie Cairang sang with deep feeling amid the cheers of fans, stepping down from the stage from time to time to interact with the audience.
Gazi Cuo, a villager from Guriyangma Village, came with her family of four. She picked up her phone and livestreamed via a social platform, hoping more people could see the live performance.
She introduced to netizens: "Today there are Tibetan songs, Tibetan dances, English songs and rap performances — my youngest son doesn't even want to go home."
With the development of the tourism economy, local villagers have also been able to increase their incomes and prosper. "The woods are getting denser and denser, the river water is getting clearer and clearer, and tourists from inside and outside the province come more and more each year. The small farmhouse courtyard my husband and I run is often fully booked. In peak tourist season, many guests contact me on Douyin two or three weeks in advance just to reserve a dinner," Gazi Cuo said.
