Since the beginning of this year, Sichuan and Chongqing have fully implemented the decisions and arrangements of the CPC Central Committee, the State Council, and the party committees and governments of the two provinces and municipalities on accelerating the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle. Adhering to the approach of taking major projects as the key driver, they have strengthened factor guarantees, enhanced coordination services, maintained continuous monitoring and scheduling, and jointly promoted the accelerated implementation of major projects in the jointly built Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle. From January to April, 300 projects completed an investment of 149.2 billion yuan, with an annual investment completion rate of 34.2%. Among them, 17 of the 37 planned projects have started construction, a start rate of 45.9%.

　　Modern infrastructure projects are progressing steadily. From January to April, 853.9 billion yuan of investment was completed, with an annual investment completion rate of 30.6%. The ship lock of the Jialing River Lize Navigation Hub Project was officially opened to navigation; the Kaijiang-Liangping Expressway is about to open to traffic along its entire length; the first steel box girder of Section 2 of the Chongqing-Wuhan Expressway Capacity Expansion Project successfully passed acceptance; and the box girder erection over the operating railway line on the Putanggou Right-Line Bridge of the Chongqing-Qianjiang section of the Chongqing-Hunan High-Speed Railway was completed. Modern industrial projects are being accelerated. From January to April, 501.3 billion yuan of investment was completed, with an annual investment completion rate of 41.3%. The Sichuan-Chongqing Cooperation (Guang'an-Hechuan) Biopharmaceutical Industrial Park has been completed and put into production, and the Changan Yubei Plant Replacement and Green Intelligent Upgrade Project has entered the trial production stage. Scientific and technological innovation and cultural tourism projects are being implemented at an accelerated pace. From January to April, 69.6 billion yuan of investment was completed, with an annual investment completion rate of 42%. The Extremely Deep Underground Ultra-Low Radiation Background Frontier Physics Experimental Facility has entered the final construction stage, and the Huayu Base of the Organ Intelligent Biomanufacturing Engineering Center Project has been completed and put into use. Ecological and environmental protection, opening-up, and public service projects are being solidly advanced. From January to April, 67.2 billion yuan of investment was completed, with an annual investment completion rate of 33.9%. Some projects of the Yibin Resource Recycling Base have been completed; the standard factory buildings of the Chongqing (Wansheng) Inland Dry Port of the Western Land-Sea New Corridor Chongqing-Guizhou Comprehensive Service Area have been completed and put into production; and projects such as the Vocational Senior High School of the Dazhou Southwest Vocational Education Park have started construction.
