Recently, the Taizhou Jiefang Road river-crossing tunnel project once again obtained a phased construction permit. This means that the north bank of the project can begin construction along its entire line, and the project construction has picked up "acceleration."

The Jiefang Road river-crossing tunnel and south connecting line project is a provincial key project, connecting Jiaobei and Jiefang Road, and is the ** river-crossing tunnel built in Taizhou. The project starts in the north on the south side of the intersection of Zhang'an Avenue and Daluo Road, and extends south to the south side of Qingnian Road. The main line has a total length of 4.3 kilometers and a total investment of more than 4 billion yuan.

This project is the city-level ** online-handled phased construction permit project, the city's ** municipal public works project to implement the phased construction permit reform, and also a typical case of the Municipal Construction Bureau responding to the requirements of the government service value-added reform, with government approval departments intervening in advance to provide services and, starting from enterprise needs, providing "tailor-made VIP" enterprise-benefit policies.

"For the Jiefang Road river-crossing tunnel project, we implemented a flexible phasing method based on construction time periods, municipal linear phasing, and construction permit condition phasing." According to relevant staff of the Taizhou Municipal Construction Bureau, this enables the phased construction permit reform to cover the entire field of municipal engineering, which is the first of its kind nationwide.

"It is expected that in June or July of this year, the main construction of the river-crossing tunnel can obtain a construction permit." The aforementioned staff member stated that handling construction permits in phases means the Jiefang Road river-crossing tunnel project can implement phased drawing review, phased permitting, and phased construction. The project approval cycle has been greatly shortened, and construction can start 9 months earlier, alleviating the financial pressure on the enterprise.

It is reported that the Jiefang Road river-crossing tunnel project is scheduled to be completed in 2028. By then, the Jiefang Road river-crossing tunnel will effectively connect the north and south banks of the Jiaojiang River, shorten transportation distances, facilitate commuting for residents, effectively improve the urban road traffic conditions of Jiaojiang, and promote the coordinated development of both banks of the river.
