　　Four provincial-level joint inspection teams composed of the Hainan Provincial Fire and Rescue Corps, the Provincial Emergency Management Department, the Provincial Housing and Urban-Rural Development Department, the Provincial Public Security Department and other departments conducted night inspections in the four districts of Haikou that evening.

　　At the night inspection site in Meilan District, Haikou City, the reporter observed that the joint inspection team focused on checking whether there were illegal parking and charging of electric bicycles in villagers' self-built rental housing and street-front shops, investigated whether there were illegal parking and charging of electric bicycles in high-rise civil buildings in residential communities, and checked electric bicycle sales shops for illegal and non-compliant practices such as unauthorized modification of original electrical components and replacement with high-capacity batteries. In response to the problems found, the inspection team required the managers of the units and venues and the users to rectify them promptly, and required all units and venues to carry out comprehensive self-inspection and self-examination.

　　According to statistics, a total of 4,136 social units and venues were inspected across Hainan Province that evening, 5,133 illegally parked and charged electric bicycles were removed and relocated, fines of 177,600 yuan were proposed for 25 units and venues, warnings and fines were proposed for 634 individuals, with proposed fines of 45,000 yuan.

　　Zhang Yong, Director of the Fire Prevention Supervision Division of the Hainan Provincial Fire and Rescue Corps, introduced that in order to further advance the province-wide whole-chain rectification campaign for electric bicycle safety hazards and strictly rectify prominent problems such as illegal parking and charging and illegal modification, the province will carry out four concentrated night inspection campaigns from May 23 to mid-June.
