At around 13:00 on May 22, 2024, a wildfire broke out at the Donghulu Forest Farm of the Guandi Mountain State-owned Forest Administration Bureau of the Shanxi Provincial Forestry and Grassland Administration. The forest area is located in the Youjiaping Group, Dongpodi Village, Dongpodi Township, Jiaocheng County. After the wildfire broke out, the Guandi Mountain State-owned Forest Administration Bureau and Jiaocheng County immediately activated the emergency response mechanism and organized a 1,000-person rescue force to fight the fire.

The reporter learned from the front-line command center for wildfire rescue that, because the ignition points were all located at the mountain tops in the early stage of the wildfire, four helicopters were mainly used to drop water with buckets to extinguish the fire, providing strong support for ground rescue. Subsequently, a 1,000-person firefighting team went up the mountain to fight the fire along four routes from the east, west, south, and north. As of 6:00 on the 23rd, the open flames had been extinguished, with no casualties. The cause of the fire is under further investigation, and the cleanup of the fire scene is in full swing.
