During the 8th China-Russia Expo, Jiang Wanrong, Vice Minister of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, met in Harbin with a delegation led by Stasishin, Deputy Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation, to exchange views on advancing cooperation under the Sub-Committee on Construction and Urban Development of the China-Russia Prime Ministers' Regular Meeting Committee. The two sides jointly attended the China-Russia Roundtable on Urban Planning and Construction, co-hosted by the China Academy of Urban Planning and Design and the Russian Federation State Research and Design Institute for Spatial Planning, and delivered speeches.

Jiang Wanrong stated that under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Putin, the China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination for a new era has maintained high-level operation. Since its establishment, the Sub-Committee on Construction and Urban Development of the China-Russia Prime Ministers' Regular Meeting Committee has seen its cooperation areas continuously expand and its cooperation content become increasingly rich. The two ministries will follow the important cooperation consensus reached by the two heads of state, continuously enhance mutual trust, and expand cooperation.

Jiang Wanrong pointed out that this year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of China-Russia diplomatic relations, and cooperation in the fields of construction and urban development between the two countries will usher in new opportunities. China is willing to work with Russia in upholding the concept of mutual learning and win-win cooperation, continuously tap cooperation potential, actively build exchange and cooperation platforms for professionals in urban planning and construction of the two countries, especially young people, and push cooperation in the field of urban planning and construction between the two countries to a new level.

Stasishin stated that Russia and China have similar development goals in housing policy and construction innovation, and China's experience in urbanization, regional development, and urban planning and construction is worth learning from. Russia hopes to carry out in-depth relevant academic exchanges with China, establish an information-sharing mechanism, and expand cooperation in related fields.

During the event, Vice Minister Jiang Wanrong and Deputy Minister Stasishin jointly witnessed the signing of a partnership agreement between the China Academy of Urban Planning and Design and the Russian Federation State Research and Design Institute for Spatial Planning.
