May 21 (Xinhua) — According to the website of the National Meteorological Center, the National Meteorological Center continued to issue a blue rainstorm warning at 6:00 on May 21: It is expected that from 08:00 on May 21 to 08:00 on May 22, parts of Hainan Island, eastern Guangdong, eastern Fujian, southern Zhejiang, southern Yunnan, southern Chongqing and other areas will experience heavy to torrential rain, among which southeastern Hainan Island, the eastern coast of Guangdong and the southern coast of Fujian will see localized torrential rain (100–150 mm). Some of the above areas will be accompanied by short-duration intense precipitation (maximum hourly rainfall of 20–40 mm, with localized amounts exceeding 50 mm), and localized severe convective weather such as thunderstorms and gales.
