On May 13, the first span of 40-meter prestressed concrete simply supported T-beams of the Longwangmiao Bridge in the Chengnan Project was successfully erected, laying a solid foundation for the completion of the separated newly built section and the successful achievement of subsequent milestone tasks.

This bridge is built to cross the Huailuo Road and is a newly constructed bridge. Its superstructure adopts 5×40-meter prestressed concrete simply supported T-beams, with a total length of 209 meters and a width of 20.35 meters. The substructure adopts column piers, ribbed abutments, and column abutments, with bored pile foundations. The route reconstruction and expansion scheme at the bridge site is to build a separated new downbound line on the left side, while the existing old bridge, after reconstruction of its median strip, will be used as a single-carriageway bridge for the right line. The median strip reconstruction scheme involves installing steel-concrete composite beams at the center of the superstructure span and using steel plates for transverse connection of the pier cap beams in the substructure.

The 40-meter prestressed concrete simply supported T-beam erection equipment for this section adopts the HZQ50-160B double-guide-beam bridge launching machine. The double-guide-beam launching machine uses a triangular truss as the main load-bearing guide beam, featuring simple operation, safety, and reliability; by laying full-section transverse moving tracks, the bridge can be moved transversely into place in a single operation.

For the 40-meter prestressed T-beam transport and erection scheme, the Chengnan Project organized multiple construction coordination meetings and expert review meetings, making thorough arrangements around scheme design, selection of beam erection equipment, and process interfacing, clarifying relevant responsibilities and standard requirements, and ensuring the smooth completion of the first-span beam erection.

It is understood that the Chengnan Expressway capacity expansion project is the largest expressway expansion project under construction in Sichuan Province. After expansion and reconstruction, it will help improve the road capacity and service level between Chengdu and Chongqing, further stimulate regional economic development vitality, and be of great significance to promoting regional economic development.
