Since the beginning of this year, the Tacheng region has closely focused on the goal of high-quality economic development, established a project database of continued, new, and reserve projects for fixed asset investment, used the project database as a lever to organize regular project scheduling, promptly coordinated and resolved various difficulties and problems, and gone all out to start construction, accelerate progress, and promote investment, injecting new momentum into high-quality development.

In the past two days, the sea buckthorn pomace deep processing project of Xinjiang Jiyu Biotechnology Co., Ltd. began construction on site after approval, and workers are renovating the workshop drainage system.

Hu Xiaohui, head of Xinjiang Jiyu Biotechnology Co., Ltd., said: "We began renovation of the factory building on May 1. The first step is the drainage system, because fruit and vegetable processing uses a relatively large amount of water. After the drainage system is completed, we will work on water and electricity, then repaint the floor, and finally install the main equipment. Production is expected to begin in mid-August."

Xinjiang Jiyu Biotechnology Co., Ltd. is a key investment attraction enterprise in the Tacheng region. The enterprise is located in Shawan City, with a total investment of 200 million yuan. After production begins, it can process 50,000 tons of sea buckthorn and various other fruit products.

Hu Xiaohui said: "After production begins, there will be two major segments. Relying on several specialty melon and fruit varieties in northern Xinjiang, such as Hami melon, prunes, raspberries, sea buckthorn, grapes, and crabapples, the first segment is raw pulp, and the second is fermentation to make fruit wine. The set of processing equipment ordered has a daily processing capacity of about 300 tons, and the process is fully automated."

The South District Water Supply Construction Project in Hoboksar County is one of the key construction projects in the Tacheng region in 2024, aimed at improving the quality and safety of water used by residents in the South District. The project mainly includes building a new water treatment plant with a daily treatment capacity of 25,000 cubic meters and laying 15,215 meters of water supply pipelines. The total investment is 134.06 million yuan, with an application for an 80 million yuan special bond and 54.06 million yuan invested by the county finance department. Earthwork infrastructure work is currently underway.

Liang Zheng, project manager of China Construction Xinjiang Construction Engineering (Group) Co., Ltd., said: "The project covers an area of 26,000 square meters, with a building area of 4,300 square meters, including 11 structures of various sizes such as the water intake head, raw water pipeline, water treatment plant, and water transmission pipeline. At present, the rebar construction of three structures in the earthwork phase of the water intake plant has been completed, and 30% of the construction progress has been achieved; 7.5 kilometers of the 15-kilometer water supply pipeline have been completed, achieving 50% of the construction progress. The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of November 2024."

At present, the Tacheng region has a total of 138 new projects, with a total investment of 33.6 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 14.6 billion yuan, involving multiple fields such as new energy, transportation, smart agriculture, education and health, warehousing and logistics, and product processing. The commencement of construction on this batch of projects is of great significance to stabilizing economic growth and promoting improvements in people's livelihood in the Tacheng region.
