According to the official Weibo account of the Guangzhou Fire and Rescue Detachment in Guangdong Province, at 09:32 on May 16, 2024, the detachment command center received a report of a fire at No. 93 Renmin South Road, Liwan District. The detachment immediately dispatched fire and rescue forces to the scene. At 11:40, the open flames were extinguished. One person (confirmed to be the previously missing person) was rescued from the scene and was confirmed by medical personnel to have no vital signs. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
