The right line of the section from Huayuan Road Station to Hongshan Xincheng Station on Nanjing Metro Line 6 successfully passed beneath the Shanghai-Nanjing Intercity Railway and the Beijing-Shanghai Railway.

To ensure a smooth underpass, Nanjing Metro planned ahead, prepared a special construction plan for section reinforcement and crossing, and organized expert review, implementing and improving various crossing safeguard measures; it set up a dedicated working group, coordinated with relevant departments, and organized more than 10 coordination meetings and review meetings of various types, continuously optimizing the section construction plan. Before the underpass, Nanjing Metro strictly implemented technical and safety briefings and set up a simulation section to dynamically adjust shield tunneling parameters; during the underpass, a tunneling analysis meeting was held daily to strictly control the shield tunneling posture and speed, strengthen quality control in all aspects, and ultimately complete the underpass construction smoothly.
