The cutterhead of shield machine S1155 for the left line of the section from Kazimen Station to the former airport runway site Station on Phase II of Line 10 broke through the wall, successfully achieving tunnel breakthrough on both lines of the section from Kazimen Station to the former airport runway site Station.

The strata in the section from Kazimen Station to the former airport runway site Station consist of composite rock-soil ground with complex hydrogeological conditions, passing beneath multiple buildings (complexes), making construction highly challenging. In response to the difficulties during construction, Nanjing Metro coordinated overall efforts, refined the schedule and special construction plans, and formulated a series of preventive measures and emergency response plans in advance; a video monitoring system was used for 24-hour uninterrupted control of the construction process, and construction procedures were optimized, ensuring the smooth tunnel breakthrough on both lines of the section from Kazimen Station to the former airport runway site Station and creating favorable conditions for subsequent track-laying construction.
