Recently, it was learned from the Yangpu Transportation and Port Authority that in the first quarter of this year, a number of key transportation and port projects, including the Yangpu Regional International Container Hub Port Expansion Project, the Yangpu Port Area Channel Reconstruction and Expansion Project, and the Yangpu Port Expressway, have been steadily advanced, with cumulative investment of 2.139 billion yuan, up 41.33% year on year.

　　The Yangpu Port Area Channel Reconstruction and Expansion Project is one of the key port and shipping projects promoted by the Yangpu Transportation and Port Authority this year. The channel has a total length of 13 kilometers and is divided into three sections: the inner, middle, and outer sections. The outer section is 7.163 kilometers long and the middle section is 3.109 kilometers long, built to the standard of a single-lane tidal channel for 200,000-ton-class container ships. The inner section is 2.802 kilometers long, built to the standard of a single-lane all-weather channel for 70,000-ton-class bulk carriers. At present, Section 1 of the project is carrying out temporary cofferdam and channel dredging construction, with cumulative investment of 108 million yuan.

　　This year, Danzhou continues to step up efforts in port and shipping infrastructure construction. In addition to the Yangpu Regional International Container Hub Port Expansion Project and the Port Area Channel Reconstruction and Expansion Project, projects such as the SDIC 30,000-ton-class oil and chemical terminal, the Yisheng Lianhuashan Terminal, and the Sinograin storage project are being accelerated and are scheduled to be officially put into use within the year. Two water transport projects, the SDIC 100,000-ton-class public grain and oil terminal project and the marine equipment supporting terminal project in the Xinxing Operation Area of Shentou Port Area, are being accelerated.

　　In terms of transportation projects, the Yangpu Port Expressway, the Huanxin Yingwan Expressway, the Huanxin Yingwan Tourist Road, the Wangwu Interchange, and the section of Provincial Highway S308 from Nada to the Yangpu Interchange are under accelerated construction.

　　According to reports, Danzhou currently has 22 highway construction projects with cumulative investment of 818 million yuan, up 121.28% year on year, and 6 waterway construction projects with cumulative investment of 275 million yuan, up 6.18% year on year.

　　A relevant person in charge of the Planning Section of the Yangpu Transportation and Port Authority said that in the first quarter of this year, in addition to actively promoting key port and shipping infrastructure projects, the authority also advanced road infrastructure construction in industrial parks such as Wangwu and Mutang in the Huanxin Yingwan area, shoring up shortcomings in road facilities so that enterprises can come in and stay, thereby supporting the high-quality integrated development of Danzhou and Yangpu.
