On the morning of May 11, Jinan Rail Transit Line 9, taking the launch of the right-line shield machine on the Xiaoqinghe East Station–Kaiyuan Road Station section undertaken by the Fourth Hydropower Engineering Bureau as an opportunity, joined with participating construction units to hold a Party-building brand release and joint co-construction themed Party Day activity at Kaiyuan Road Station.

With the theme of "Party Building Leads and Strengthens Responsibility, Project Deepening Promotes Development," this activity deeply practices the development philosophy of "co-construction, sharing, and win-win," creates the new "Tong·Xin·Xing" (Together·Heart·Action) Party-building brand for Rail Transit Line 9, and, on the occasion of the launch of the right-line shield machine on the Xiaoqinghe East Station–Kaiyuan Road Station section, links participating construction units to closely focus on project construction goals, promotes the integration of joint Party-building into the entire project life cycle, realizes the integrated and mutually reinforcing development of Party building and construction production, and continuously uses high-quality Party building to lead and guarantee high-quality project development.

At the event site, attending leaders unveiled the "Tong·Xin·Xing" Party-building brand and presented flags to the Line 9 Party Member Vanguard Team and Youth Assault Team.

The "Kunlun No. 52" shield machine launched this time is a composite earth pressure balance shield machine. It will tunnel westward from Kaiyuan Road Station to Xiaoqinghe East Station. The shield operation section has a total length of about 907 meters, and the tunnel crown cover depth in the section is about 10.04 to 13.86 meters. The main stratum crossed is silty clay. In the face of difficulties such as cross-operation, limited site space, complex geological conditions, abundant groundwater, and high groundwater levels, the group's project construction team established a dedicated working group, organized multiple special meetings to demonstrate and verify the construction plan and emergency plans, completed the lowering, assembly, debugging, and trial operation of the shield machine in the shortest possible time, and successfully passed the commencement condition verification and key node acceptance. At the same time, for the pre-launch risk source verification, it carried out full-process side-station supervision, full-time monitoring and measurement, and all-round data analysis, promptly adjusting operations when problems were found, effectively ensuring the safe launch and tunneling of the shield machine.

At present, construction across the entire Phase I project of Line 9 is accelerating. The main structures of 4 stations have been capped, 7 stations are undergoing main structure construction and earthwork excavation, 1 station is undergoing enclosure structure construction, a cumulative total of 6 shield launches have been completed, 1 section has achieved dual-line breakthrough, and 4 shields are currently tunneling.
