May 14 (Xinhua) — According to a notice on the website of the State Administration for Market Regulation, the administration (together with the Standardization Administration of China) recently approved and released a batch of important national standards covering multiple fields including production and daily life, and green and sustainable development. These standards will play an important role in unleashing consumption potential, accelerating the quality upgrading of the manufacturing industry, safeguarding gas safety, leading emerging and future industries, supporting green and low-carbon development, and improving quality of life.

　　In terms of helping unleash consumption potential, the standard for smart toilets can effectively improve the quality of smart toilets in aspects such as flushing noise, impact resistance of the seat ring and cover, water temperature stability, and seat ring heating, thereby accelerating product quality improvement. Six standards for power consumption measurement of audio-visual and related equipment can standardize the measurement methods for power consumption of audio-visual equipment, make the power consumption of equipment produced by different manufacturers comparable, facilitate consumers' comparison and selection, protect consumer rights, and at the same time promote technological innovation and product performance improvement in the industry, fostering the healthy development of the entire audio-visual industry.

　　In terms of promoting the solid establishment of a safety baseline for production and daily life, six standards including those for fire-resistant rolling shutters, fire alarm control units, point-type photoelectric smoke fire detectors, and fire emergency lighting and evacuation indication systems will help improve the safety and reliability of related fire protection products, ensuring that they can better perform functions such as fire compartmentation, fire alarm detection, and safeguarding fire emergency lighting and evacuation in fires, thereby better protecting people's lives and property. Four standards including those for emergency shelters and disaster relief tents can ensure that disaster-affected people receive safer and more comfortable temporary resettlement, and further give play to the important role of emergency shelters in early warning and response to major emergencies, emergency rescue, and transitional resettlement.

　　In terms of supporting green and low-carbon development, three standards — the evaluation indicators for green manufacturing, the implementation guidelines for green supply chain management in manufacturing enterprises, and the requirements for information traceability and disclosure — can provide comprehensive and systematic guidance for manufacturing enterprises to establish and implement green supply chain management, effectively resolve problems such as uncoordinated, unsystematic, and inconsistent green evaluation indicators for green products, green factories, and green supply chains, and promote enterprises' green, low-carbon, and sustainable development. Four standards on energy consumption limits per unit product for yellow phosphorus, dimethyl siloxane, tires and carbon black, and titanium dioxide and iron oxide pigments will help promote technological progress in energy conservation in relevant industries, accelerate industrial structure adjustment and optimization and upgrading, and facilitate energy conservation and emission reduction.

　　In terms of improving quality of life, the standard for medical interpreting will serve China's medical language services industry and meet the growing medical needs of Chinese people traveling abroad and foreign patients coming to China. Three standards — the evaluation requirements and evaluation methods for visual comfort of indoor LED displays, and the interactive application interface for smart TVs — will help guide the production and scientific use of indoor LED displays, facilitate the evaluation and management of LED display comfort, and enhance the user experience of smart TV audiences.

　　National standards on the quality of canned citrus, double-petal red rose essential oil, liquid crystal display devices, and the classification of spinal orthoses were also released during the same period.
