On May 9, with the successful capping of the No. 316 main tower of the Zhongxiang Hanjiang Grand Bridge on the Shanghai-Chongqing-Chengdu High-Speed Railway and the smooth closure of the side spans on both banks of the main bridge, construction of the bridge has fully entered the sprint stage for mid-span closure.

The bridge, constructed by China Railway 11th Bureau Group, has a main bridge length of 547.5 meters and a main span of 270 meters, crossing the Hanjiang River in the form of a cable-stayed bridge. It is a controlling project of the Wuhan-Yichang section of the Shanghai-Chongqing-Chengdu High-Speed Railway.
