According to the WeChat public account of the Reporting Center of the Cyberspace Administration of China, in April 2024, under the guidance of the Reporting Center of the Cyberspace Administration of China, cyberspace reporting departments at all levels across the country and major website platforms accepted 20.078 million reports from netizens concerning illegal and harmful information such as pornography, gambling, infringement, and rumors, an increase of 8.3% month-on-month and 14% year-on-year.

　　Among them, the Reporting Center of the Cyberspace Administration of China accepted 426,000 reports, an increase of 2.7% month-on-month and a decrease of 42.5% year-on-year; local cyberspace reporting departments accepted 1.511 million reports, an increase of 46.7% month-on-month and 204% year-on-year; major website platforms across the country accepted 18.14 million reports, an increase of 6.2% month-on-month and 10.8% year-on-year.

　　Of the reports accepted by major website platforms across the country, major commercial website platforms accounted for 92.2%, totaling 16.731 million.

　　At present, major website platforms across the country are continuously improving reporting channels and accepting and handling reports from netizens. Netizens are welcome to actively participate in comprehensive internet governance and jointly maintain a clean cyberspace.
