Recently, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development publicly solicited opinions on two mandatory national standards for engineering construction, the "Data Center Project Code" and the "General Code for Special Gas and Chemical Distribution Facilities in Electronic Factories." The deadline for feedback is May 31, 2024.

"Data Center Project Code"

This code is formulated in accordance with relevant laws and regulations to safeguard personal health and the safety of life and property, national security, and ecological environment safety in the construction and operation of data center projects, to meet the basic needs of economic and social management, and to ensure the safe, stable, and reliable operation of electronic information equipment. Data center projects must comply with this code.

"General Code for Special Gas and Chemical Distribution Facilities in Electronic Factories"

This code is formulated in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and technical measures to safeguard personal health and the safety of life and property and ecological environment safety in the design, construction and acceptance, operation and maintenance, and decommissioning and demolition of special gas and chemical distribution facilities in electronic factories, and to meet the basic requirements of economic and social management. The design, construction and acceptance, operation and maintenance, and decommissioning and demolition of special gas and chemical distribution facilities for new construction, expansion, and reconstruction of electronic factories must comply with this code.
