On April 6 this year, a pair of crested ibises successfully laid eggs. However, because nest abandonment occurred in the later stage of incubation, the staff switched the eggs to artificial incubation. At present, this newborn crested ibis chick has begun to receive artificial feeding.

　　At Qinglong Lake in the Sanmenxia Swan Lake National Urban Wetland Park, 6 newborn cygnets are carefully swimming into the water behind their parents. On the lake surface, they play leisurely and chase each other, each showing off its "cute" side. It is understood that the parents of these cygnets also hatched 3 cygnets around May 2023. At the end of April this year, they once again successfully hatched 6 cygnets.

　　It is understood that every winter, tens of thousands of whooper swans inhabit Sanmenxia to overwinter, and when they return north in March of the following year, a small number remain behind owing to injury, illness, or other reasons.
