On the afternoon of April 29, Ni Hong, Minister of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, met with Majed Al-Hogail, Minister of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing of Saudi Arabia. The two sides exchanged views on deepening cooperation in the field of housing and urban-rural development.

Ni Hong stated that Saudi Arabia is an important partner of China in the Middle East region, and in particular, under the joint guidance of President Xi Jinping and King Salman and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed, China-Saudi Arabia relations have made substantial progress. The Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development is willing to work with the Saudi Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing to jointly implement the important consensus of the leaders of the two countries, strengthen practical cooperation in the field of housing and urban-rural development, implement the alignment implementation plan between the Belt and Road Initiative and Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, and make new contributions to building a China-Arab community with a shared future for the new era.

Majed Al-Hogail stated that Saudi-China relations are friendly, and the heads of state of the two countries have reached important consensus on deepening cooperation in various fields. Saudi Arabia is vigorously advancing housing and urban construction, and Chinese enterprises entering the Saudi market to undertake engineering construction face more opportunities. He expressed the hope that both sides will continue to deepen exchanges and cooperation in the field of housing and urban-rural development, share development experience, and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.

The two sides reached consensus on establishing a cooperation mechanism between the two ministries and carrying out cooperation in housing, urban construction, the construction market, and other aspects.

Responsible officials from the Department of Housing Security, the Department of Real Estate Market Supervision, the Department of Building Market Supervision, the Department of Urban Construction, and the Department of Planning, Finance and Foreign Affairs of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development attended the meeting.
