Recently, at the construction site of the Port-Serving Expressway project, which has a planned total investment of 6.9 billion yuan, workers are stepping up construction. "The main line of the project is 33.037 kilometers long, the first-class highway connecting line is 2.301 kilometers long, and the total route length is 35.338 kilometers. The main line is being built to the standard of a two-way, eight-lane expressway," said Han Shanjian, executive director and general manager of Hainan Communications Investment Yangpu Port Company. At present, the project is progressing smoothly, and more than 1.5 billion yuan of investment has been completed.

"Since the project started construction, all departments have given full support to the construction elements of the project, ensuring high-quality progress. In particular, in areas such as project land acquisition, the Danzhou Municipal Government has set up a special task force to conduct on-site scheduling and coordinate and resolve problems arising during project construction at the first opportunity," Han Shanjian said.

The accelerated construction of the Port-Serving Expressway project is only a microcosm of the accelerated progress of many projects under construction in the city. According to statistics, as of the first quarter of this year, the city's transportation, port, and shipping projects had completed a cumulative investment of 2.139 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 41.33%. Among them, there were 22 highway construction projects, with a cumulative investment of 818 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 121.28%; 6 waterway construction projects, with a cumulative investment of 275 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.18%; 1 airport construction project, with a cumulative investment of 240,000 yuan; and 1 ship procurement project, with a cumulative investment of 1.045 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 18.62%.

Since the beginning of this year, the Transportation and Port Authority has solidly advanced project construction.

In terms of major project construction, it has promoted three highway projects: the reconstruction and expansion project of the G98 Ring Island Expressway from Paipu Interchange to Bailian Interchange, the reconstruction and new construction project of Provincial Highway S352 Qihai Line, and the reconstruction and new construction project of Provincial Highway S229 Masong Line from Jinjiang Bridge to Songtao Section. It has accelerated the reconstruction project of Provincial Highway S315 Baiyang Line from Xipei Farm to Baimajing Section and the reconstruction project of County Road X513 Zhonghe Bridge. It has continued to advance the construction of projects under construction, including the Yangpu Port-Serving Expressway Project, the Ring New Yingwan Expressway, the Ring New Yingwan Tourist Highway, the Wangwu Interchange, the Nanfeng Interchange, the Ring Tropical Rainforest National Park Tourist Highway (Danzhou Section), the municipalization of Provincial Highway S315, the section of Provincial Highway S308 from Nada to Yangpu Interchange, the section of Provincial Highway S315 from Wulang to Qiandi Village, Provincial Highway S291, and the section of Provincial Highway S211 from Luoji to Xihua Interchange.

In terms of port and shipping infrastructure construction, it has continued to promote the commencement of construction of two water transport projects: the State Development and Investment Corporation (SDIC) 100,000-ton public grain and oil terminal project and the supporting terminal project (including breakwater) for marine engineering equipment (including wind power industry) in the Xinxing Operation Area of Shentou Port Area. It has accelerated the completion and commissioning of the Qiongzhou Strait typhoon shelter anchorage, the SDIC 30,000-ton oil and chemical terminal, the Yisheng Lianhuashan Terminal, and the Sinograin storage project. It has continued to advance the construction of projects under construction, including the Hainan Yangpu Regional International Container Hub Port Expansion Project and the Yangpu Port Area Channel Reconstruction and Expansion Project.

In terms of highway projects, it has launched preliminary work for projects such as the National Highway G225 Danzhou City Bypass Project, the Paipu Interchange to Bayi Tourist Highway Project, the Guangcun Interchange to Provincial Highway S308 Highway, the Liangyuan Area Entrance and Exit Highway, the Danzhou City 2024 Dangerous Bridge Reconstruction Project, the Danzhou City 2024 Flooded Bridge Reconstruction Project (first batch), the Danzhou City 2024 Rural Highway Safety Life Protection and Disaster Prevention Project (first batch), and the Danzhou City 2024 Rural Highway Safety Life Protection Project (second batch); and completed the bidding work for projects such as the Danzhou City 2022 Rural Highway Maintenance Project, the Fanjia Township-Sanya Village Guardrail Removal and Reuse Maintenance Project, the Xuanpan-Intersection Safety Protection Repair and Maintenance Project, the local pavement repair project of the X500K21+715-K21+785 section, and the Mulan Avenue (Lanyang Section) Highway.

According to a relevant person in charge of the Transportation and Port Authority, in the next stage, it will closely focus on the target tasks, focus on element guarantees, and do a good job in implementing key projects, helping projects to be completed and yield benefits as soon as possible, and serving and safeguarding the high-quality development of Danzhou-Yangpu integration.
