On the afternoon of May 5, a landslide suddenly occurred on the hillside at K57+050 on the S202 Baidong Line in Yushan County.

The S202 Baidong Line is not only an important provincial road passing through Yushan County in Jiangxi Province, but also a major tourist route leading to the Sanqingshan Scenic Area. Mud, rocks and trees rolling down from the mountain blocked the road, causing traffic disruption and greatly affecting travel for local residents and tourists heading to the Sanqingshan Scenic Area.

After the emergency occurred, the Yushan Highway Center in Shangrao, Jiangxi, immediately activated its emergency response, reported the blockage information, and organized an emergency clearance team to rush to the site at the earliest opportunity. It implemented the highway patrol and early-warning coordination mechanism, contacted local township governments, the power company and traffic police departments to jointly maintain traffic safety along the affected road section, and guided and turned back stranded vehicles. Together with the Yushan County Natural Resources Bureau and the power supply company, it quickly formulated an emergency disaster response plan and, according to the division of responsibilities, dispatched loaders, excavators, cranes, transport vehicles and other emergency machinery and equipment to carry out cleanup of the collapsed earth and rock at full effort.

Next, the Yushan Highway Center will accelerate the handling of the remaining hillside collapse and other work, focusing on road sections adjacent to water and cliffs, sharp curves and steep slopes, high slopes, and areas prone to geological disasters, so as to scientifically and effectively prevent highway traffic safety risks during the flood season and ensure safe and smooth road traffic.
