Recently, at the construction site of the Renhe Bridge ferry-to-bridge conversion project in Xiajiang County, engineering equipment such as tower cranes and excavators were busy at work, and workers were carrying out construction at full speed.

"Subgrade clearing has been completed, and we are now constructing the trestle and pile foundation platforms to prepare for the next stage of underwater foundation work," said Zeng Bin, deputy chief engineer of the project. The Renhe Bridge ferry-to-bridge conversion project and its connecting roads are a key livelihood project in Xiajiang County, with a total investment of about 300 million yuan and a total construction length of about 12.8 kilometers. Once completed, the drive from Renhe Town to the county seat will be shortened from 40 minutes to 12 minutes, greatly facilitating the daily production and life of people on both banks.

Since the beginning of this year, Xiajiang County has treated project construction as a powerful engine for high-quality development, going all out to advance projects, accelerate starts, and seize the initiative. Adhering to the philosophy of "projects first, action foremost," the county has focused on its "1+1" leading industries of biomedicine and green food, and established an investment promotion mechanism featuring "one industrial chain, one precise map, one list of prospective investors, one set of element maps, and one professional team," pursuing targeted and precise investment promotion centered on major industrial projects and leading-industry projects.

At the same time, Xiajiang County has thoroughly implemented the "six major project campaigns" and three special actions to guarantee land, funding, and manpower, comprehensively removing bottlenecks constraining project construction and promoting the early start, early completion, and early results of major projects. It regularly convenes joint meetings on major project progress to sort out difficulties encountered during project advancement and to specify completion deadlines, standards and requirements, and responsible units and persons. A supervision team for major projects has been established, implementing a "red, orange, yellow, green" color-coded supervision mechanism to accelerate project construction. As of now, the county's 72 municipal key projects have completed an investment of 3.419 billion yuan.
