The earth is warming and all things are reviving. At the construction sites of major projects in Longjing City, pile drivers rise and fall, crane booms stretch out, vehicles shuttle back and forth, and machines roar... A boom of project construction is sweeping across the entire city. One project after another is springing up like bamboo shoots after rain, breaking ground and growing upward, accumulating momentum for high-quality development.

　　On April 16, workers were busy with construction at the Wood Products Deep Processing Industrial Park in Longjing City. "The project has a planned total investment of 347 million yuan, covers an area of 73,516.25 square meters, and has a building area of 81,412.21 square meters. It mainly involves the construction of 8 individual buildings, including 2 processing workshops, 2 warehouses, 1 R&D center, 2 supporting buildings, and 1 equipment building, as well as 20 wooden knife, fork and spoon production lines," Qin Yalin, head of Yanbian Prefecture Longjing City Mingxinglin Wood Industry Co., Ltd., told reporters. The project started construction in March 2023. At present, the three-story R&D center has been basically completed, and the pile foundations for the warehouses and processing workshops are under construction. Civil construction above ground is expected to begin in 20 days. The project is expected to be completed by the end of September and put into operation by the end of the year. After reaching full production, it will produce 3 billion wooden knives, forks and spoons annually, achieve an annual output value of 150 million yuan, and pay taxes of 12.5 million yuan.

　　Since the beginning of this year, guided by the promotion of high-quality economic development, Longjing City has firmly established the development philosophy of "projects as the priority" and "innovation first." Based on Longjing's industrial layout of "three main and two auxiliary industries with multi-point support," it has coordinated the development of three leading industries—pharmaceutical and health, food processing, and textiles and garments—and accelerated economic development and operations by having leading enterprises pursue upgrades and revitalizing suspended enterprises.

　　As one of the key food processing projects, the Longjing City Korean Ethnic Folk Food Industrial Park project is progressing smoothly. The first phase, with an investment of about 65 million yuan, was put into use in March 2020. The second phase, with an investment scale of about 130 million yuan, has basically completed construction. Ground leveling and subsequent interior decoration are currently underway.

　　"The second phase is currently being expanded, including a product storage and processing center, an R&D and production center, a quality lifestyle experience hall, and a logistics distribution center. It mainly deals in agricultural products, condiments, food, and so on. After reaching full production, the company's annual output value will be about 200 million yuan, with profits and taxes of about 15 million yuan," said Jin Yulin, head of the e-commerce department of Yanbian Sankou Folk Food Co., Ltd., the project operator.

　　This year, Longjing City plans to implement 45 key projects with investment of more than 50 million yuan, with a total investment of 19.721 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 4.959 billion yuan. There are 31 newly started projects, accounting for 68.9%, with a total investment of 14.604 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 3.833 billion yuan; and 14 continued projects, accounting for 31.1%, with a total investment of 5.117 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 1.126 billion yuan.
