The Sixth Plenary Session of the 11th County Party Committee pointed out that we must adhere to prioritizing the development of education, fully implement the three-year action plan for high-quality educational development, promote quality and inclusive preschool education, quality and balanced compulsory education, and quality and distinctive regular high school education, and strive to run education that satisfies the people. Since the beginning of this year, the construction workers of the education livelihood practical projects have actively seized fine sunny weather, deployed sufficient manpower, worked at full capacity, made full use of time, and exerted full effort to accelerate the pace of project construction, striving to let the livelihood practical projects benefit the people as early as possible.

The construction project of Zone B of the Guanjang Shuangyuan Commercial Culture and Art Street is located on the west side of Jiefang Road and the north side of Shuangyuan West Road in the county seat. The project is divided into two parts: the renovation and upgrading of the original campus of the County No. 2 Middle School and supporting facility projects such as the expansion on the west side of the plot, and the renovation and upgrading of the original teaching building of Jiefang Road Primary School and other supporting facility projects. It includes the construction of three new teaching buildings within the County No. 2 Middle School, with a building area of about 8,120 square meters. A grandstand with a building area of about 805 square meters and a 400-meter sports field will be newly built at the northwest corner of the plot. The renovation and upgrading project within the County No. 2 Middle School consists of the original teaching building, laboratory building, office building, all-weather sports field, assembly hall, art building, classical garden buildings and other supporting facilities, with a total building area of about 27,318 square meters. On April 18, on the east side of the project construction site, all original ground buildings had been demolished, some building materials were successively entering the site, and workers were processing steel structures. On the west side of the site, on a construction area of more than 10,000 square meters, machines were roaring, and nearly 200 project construction workers were busy at work. "We have arranged a construction schedule. At present, the sports field is under construction, and workers work about 10 hours a day," project manager Li Jilin told the reporter.

The Tongyu River Kindergarten under construction is located east of Tongyu River Embankment Road, north of Pujiang Road, and west of Xingfu Road in the county seat. It includes children's activity rooms, service rooms, teachers' office rooms, etc., covers an area of about 30 mu, and has a building area of 9,334 square meters. At the construction site, the reporter saw that after more than four months of intensive construction by the project construction workers, the main structure is about to be capped, and the walls on the first floor have begun to be laid. According to project manager Xiao Peilong, the project can be delivered at the end of July.

New projects are accelerating, and continued projects are racing against the schedule. The new Qitao Middle School project, which started construction in 2022, is a continued project this year and includes a new teaching building, comprehensive laboratory building, cafeteria, all-weather sports field, landscape greening, etc. At present, the main works of the teaching building and comprehensive building and the ancillary works of the cafeteria have been completed, greening has been completed by 60%, and the construction of campus roads will also be completed in the near future. Workers are installing power facilities.

A hundred-year plan is based on education. Since the beginning of this year, Xiangshui County has taken improving the people's happiness index as its starting point and ultimate goal, adopted multiple measures, coordinated the implementation of livelihood projects, scientifically adjusted the schedule of project construction, tightened the construction period, and, on the premise of implementing safety work, accelerated project construction to ensure the completion of target tasks.
