Recently, the list of Chongqing's 2024 municipal key projects was officially issued, involving 1,189 key construction projects, a year-on-year increase of 2.9%, with a total investment of approximately 2.9 trillion yuan, basically flat year-on-year, and an annual planned investment of approximately 450 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.9%; 355 key preliminary planning and research projects, a year-on-year increase of 17.9%, with a total investment of approximately 1.5 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.5%.

　　Build a modern industrial system and implement 403 key projects
　　A review of the list of key projects found that this year Chongqing will implement 403 modern industrial system projects with an annual planned investment of 105.4 billion yuan.
　　Among them, around the "33618" modern manufacturing cluster system, the annual planned investment is 74.4 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 11.5%; within the leading industrial clusters, the annual planned investment in the new-generation electronic information manufacturing sector is 11 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 20.9%; the annual planned investment in pillar industrial clusters is 8.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 19.6%; and the annual planned investment in characteristic and advantageous industrial clusters is 30.4 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 63.4%.
　　In cultivating advanced manufacturing clusters, 263 key engineering construction projects will be implemented, with a total investment of 472.3 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 74.4 billion yuan. It is planned to newly start 106 projects including the Southwest Aluminum capacity expansion project in Jiulongpo, complete 64 projects including the Liangjiang Renbao new-generation intelligent screen display terminal industry chain integration project, and accelerate projects such as the An Yifa Semiconductor 8-inch silicon carbide epitaxy and chip project in Chongqing High-tech Zone.
　　In accelerating the layout of major national science and technology infrastructure, 41 key projects will be implemented, with a total investment of 55.1 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 6 billion yuan. It is planned to newly start 10 projects including the National Health Strategic Resource Bank, complete 10 projects including the independent and controllable cloud platform based on quantum key application mechanisms, and accelerate projects such as the ultra-transient experimental facility.
　　In building high-quality and efficient service industries, 81 key projects will be implemented, with a total investment of 224.7 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 21.6 billion yuan. It is planned to newly start 19 projects including the Liangping Cold Chain Logistics Park, complete 14 projects including Phase I of the Yuxinou International Railway (Guoyuan Port) Multimodal Transport Hub, and accelerate projects such as the Hechuan Weituo Logistics Park.
　　In advancing digital transformation and development, 18 key projects will be implemented, with a total investment of 64.9 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 3.4 billion yuan. It is planned to newly start 6 projects including China Mobile, complete 1 project, the China Telecom Qijiang Cloud Data Center, and accelerate projects such as the Changshou Data Storage and Development Application project.

　　Accelerate the improvement of infrastructure and implement 556 key projects
　　This year, aiming at the goal of building an inland opening-up highland, Chongqing will implement 74 key projects with a total investment of 909.8 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 144.9 billion yuan.
　　Among them, the annual planned investment in the railway sector is 44.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 22.1%; in the transport hub sector, 10.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 19.0%; in the rail transit sector, 31.6 billion yuan, basically flat year-on-year, with 258 kilometers under construction; in the airport sector, 5.9 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 28.6%; and in the highway sector, 49.3 billion yuan, with more than 1,500 kilometers of expressways under construction.
　　Specifically, Chongqing plans to newly start 14 projects including the Chongqing section of the Yuyi High-speed Railway, complete 9 projects including the Chongqing section of the Yukun High-speed Railway, and accelerate projects such as the Yuwang High-speed Railway, Yuxi High-speed Railway, Chengdu-Chongqing Middle Line High-speed Railway, and Chongqing East Station Transport Hub.
　　At the same time, in order to accelerate the pace of new urbanization, Chongqing will implement 429 key projects with a total investment of 872.9 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 150.4 billion yuan. Among them, the annual planned investment in urban renewal is 74.8 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 20.9%; in the energy sector, 44.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 21.4%; and in the water security sector, 18.2 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 109.0%. The city plans to newly start 132 projects including urban village renovation, complete 85 projects including the Jinfeng Tunnel, and accelerate projects such as the Science City Tunnel.
　　In strengthening pollution prevention and ecosystem protection and restoration, Chongqing will implement 53 ecological and environmental protection projects with an annual planned investment of 12.2 billion yuan. Among them, the annual planned investment in ecosystem restoration and governance is 9.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.0%. It is planned to newly start 10 projects including the Wanzhou Northeast Chongqing Hazardous Waste Disposal project, complete 10 projects including the Guangyang Bay Ecological Restoration project, and accelerate projects such as the "Green Mountains on Both Banks · Thousand-Li Forest Belt" afforestation along the Yangtze River.

　　Actively promote comprehensive rural revitalization and implement 31 key projects
　　This year, Chongqing will implement 31 rural revitalization projects with an annual planned investment of 11.9 billion yuan. In order to expand the development space of rural industries, Chongqing will implement 14 key projects with a total investment of 17.9 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 4 billion yuan. The city plans to newly start 3 projects including the Hechuan National Modern Agriculture Industrial Park, complete 5 projects including the Dazu Anyue Grain and Medicine Cooperation Demonstration Park in the Chengdu-Chongqing Modern Efficient and Characteristic Agriculture Belt, and accelerate projects such as the Wulong Alpine Tomato Valley.
　　In addition, in deeply implementing rural construction, Chongqing will implement 17 key projects with a total investment of 20.9 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 7.9 billion yuan. It is planned to newly start 3 projects including the Youyang Hewan Shanzhai Rural Revitalization project, complete 3 projects including the Yongchuan Water System Connectivity and Water-Beautiful Countryside project, and accelerate projects such as Phase I of the Tongnan Urban-Rural Integration Development Pilot Zone and Rural Revitalization Dafoba Area.

　　Strengthen weak links in livelihood projects and implement 199 key projects
　　This year, Chongqing is actively building cultural facilities and will implement 47 key projects with a total investment of 56.3 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 4.9 billion yuan. It plans to newly start 9 projects including the Yuzhong Da'eling Scenic Area, complete 17 projects including the Yuzhong Old Drum Tower Government Office Site Park, and accelerate projects such as the Nanyaojie Revolutionary Base Scenic Area of the Long March National Cultural Park (Youyang section).
　　At the same time, safeguarding and improving people's livelihood is also a focus of Chongqing's attention. Chongqing will implement 152 key projects with a total investment of 118.8 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 23.9 billion yuan. Among them, the annual planned investment in the health sector is 11.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 27.1%; in the employment service and social security sector, 1.4 billion yuan; and in the education sector, 11.1 billion yuan. It is planned to newly start 30 projects including the Tchaikovsky Conservatory, complete 58 projects including Phase I of the Chayuan Campus of Chongqing Technology and Business University, and accelerate projects such as the vigil service facilities of the Shiqiaopu Funeral Parlor.
　　It is particularly worth noting that a relevant person in charge of the Municipal Development and Reform Commission disclosed that this year's municipal key projects generally maintain a good momentum of rolling and continuous development.
　　From the perspective of construction stage, 275 are planned to be completed within the year with an annual planned investment of 63.3 billion yuan; 572 are continued projects with an annual planned investment of 269.4 billion yuan; and 342 are newly started projects with an annual planned investment of 120.9 billion yuan.
　　From the perspective of the lead units, 1,009 projects are led by districts and counties. Among them, the main urban metropolitan area is the main carrier of key projects, with large investment volume and high intensity, leading 738 projects, an increase of 55 over the previous year, with an annual planned investment of 201.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.7%; the Northeast Chongqing area leads 177 projects with an annual planned investment of 37.2 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 14.3%; the Southeast Chongqing area leads 94 projects with an annual planned investment of 13.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.3%; and 26 municipal departments lead 180 construction projects, concentrated in key industries and fields such as transportation, urban construction, water conservancy, and energy.
　　From the perspective of investment type, there are 505 government-invested construction projects with an annual planned investment of 264.9 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 24.1%, concentrated in fields such as infrastructure, urban renewal, and livelihood security; and 684 enterprise-invested construction projects with an annual planned investment of 188.7 billion yuan, concentrated in fields such as modern industry, expressways, and energy.
