According to the investigation, the video in question was filmed at around 18:40 on April 17, when two auxiliary police officers from the Guizhou Road Brigade of the Heping Detachment of the Tianjin Public Security Traffic Management Bureau were directing traffic at the intersection of Guizhou Road and Xikang Road in Heping District, and a disagreement over work issues escalated into a physical altercation.

Based on the findings of the investigation, the Tianjin Public Security Traffic Management Bureau, in accordance with discipline and regulations, took the following actions against the persons responsible: the two auxiliary police officers involved, Zhao and Zhang, had their labor relations terminated, and Zhao was given a serious warning within the Party; the brigade commander Liu and political commissar Xin, who bore leadership responsibility, were given a Party warning and removed from their posts.
