Recently, Comrade Shao Xiaofeng, Director and Party Group Secretary of the Standing Committee of the Haizhou District People's Congress, presided over the 2024 key livelihood practical projects supervision promotion meeting, to fully implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important thought on upholding and improving the people's congress system and his important exposition on whole-process people's democracy, and to promote the high-quality and efficient completion of livelihood practical projects. The meeting heard reports from the responsible units on the progress of 10 key livelihood practical projects in the first quarter, and made arrangements for the supervision tasks of the 2024 key livelihood practical projects. Members of the leadership team of the District People's Congress Standing Committee, supervision chiefs for each project committee, heads of the liaison committees and offices of the District People's Congress, and responsible comrades of the project responsible units attended the meeting.

　　The meeting emphasized that more solid work measures should be taken to implement and improve the relevant requirements of the people's congress deputy voting system for livelihood practical projects, so as to comprehensively improve supervision quality and efficiency, effectively boost the implementation and effectiveness of livelihood practical projects, and demonstrate the people's congress's role.

　　The meeting required that thinking be unified and political stance be raised, and that the important significance of carrying out special supervision of livelihood practical projects be fully understood. It is necessary to stimulate deputies' enthusiasm for performing their duties, effectively give play to the supervisory function of the people's congress, enhance the sense of responsibility and mission for doing special supervision work well, support and promote the proper and effective handling of livelihood practical projects, and ensure the high-quality completion of the construction tasks of 10 key livelihood practical projects on schedule.
