Yesterday, the rain in Guangdong weakened, with the stronger rainfall mainly occurring in the southwestern region, and a local rainstorm hitting Maoming.

Today, the stronger rain in Guangdong will mainly occur in the southern region. According to forecasts, southern cities and counties will have moderate rain, with local heavy rain or rainstorms turning to showers; the remaining cities and counties will be cloudy with scattered showers.

Among the cities, Guangzhou will be overcast to cloudy during the day today with heavy to torrential rain; at night it will be cloudy to overcast with showers; temperatures will range between 22 and 26°C; relative humidity will range between 86% and 97%; and there will be light to gentle southerly winds.

Shenzhen will be overcast today with heavy to torrential rain; temperatures of 23 to 27°C; southerly winds of force 2 to 3, with gusts of force 8 along the coast, on high ground, and in sea areas; relative humidity of 75% to 100%.

Tomorrow, cities and counties in central and eastern Guangdong will see showers turning to heavy rain, with local rainstorms; the remaining cities and counties will have light to moderate rain, with local heavy rain.

The meteorological department reminds that Guangdong has recently experienced frequent heavy rainfall. Today and tomorrow, southern and eastern Guangdong and other areas will still see heavy rain or rainstorms, and the rain in Guangdong will intensify again the day after tomorrow. Precautions should be taken against secondary disasters such as urban and rural waterlogging, mountain torrents, mudslides, landslides, and floods in small and medium-sized rivers.
