Recently, the first section of the Linding Road Greenway in Dinglan Smart Town, Shangcheng District, Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province opened, adding a green space for nearby residents to jog, keep fit, and enjoy flowers and spring outings. It is reported that Hangzhou's quality greenway construction is continuously "ramping up"—this year it plans to build 200 kilometers of greenways, and by the end of 2025 the city's total greenway mileage will reach no less than 5,000 kilometers.

According to reports, all districts and counties (cities) have successively launched an "acceleration" in improving greenway quality. Among them, the Xiatang River ecological corridor construction project in Gongshu District has officially started. This project is a key project for the protection, inheritance, and utilization of Hangzhou's Grand Canal culture. It plans to renew 6.3 kilometers of ecological corridor and will be completed before the end of October this year. After completion, it will merge with the adjacent Shangtang River and Hanggang River landscapes into a continuous area, presenting a brand-new riverside space and a sustainable landscape ecological environment system. In addition, the Tongjian Lake–Art Creation Town trail in Xihu District will also be completed this year, creating "green core" nodes such as cloud-edge cliff boardwalks, cloud-station forest meadows, and cloud-path tree-lined trails, building a regional landscape space with interconnected "green cores."

"Greenway construction requires quantity, but even more importantly, quality." The relevant person in charge stated that in the future, they will continue to uphold the "five-way" concept of ecological paths, health paths, smart paths, cultural paths, and prosperity paths, deeply promote the upgrading of Hangzhou's greenway construction standards, and further improve the city's greenway spatial structure of "two axes, two links, nine radials, and multiple rings." By 2025, the city's greenway network density will increase from 0.275 kilometers per square kilometer in 2022 to 0.3 kilometers per square kilometer.
