Recently, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development organized relevant units to draft the "Guidelines for the Construction of the Standards System for Integrated Construction Operation Platforms (Draft for Comments)" (hereinafter referred to as the "Guidelines"), which clearly sets the goal of establishing, in stages, a standards system for integrated construction operation platforms that suits China's national conditions and aligns with international standards, and proposes the framework and construction content of the standards system for integrated construction operation platforms, using high standards to support high quality and providing strong support for advancing the industrialization, digitalization, and green transformation and upgrading of the construction industry.

Where the will is directed, no distance is too far; where the will is set, no obstacle is impenetrable. The independently developed, world-first sky building machine has brought about a new transformation in the way buildings are constructed. The construction of this standards system is imbued with the unique temperament of the new era—open, innovative, and confident. The Guidelines state that ultimately more than 60 standards related to integrated construction operation platforms will be formulated, comprehensively forming, across the entire application life cycle of design, manufacturing, installation, use, and maintenance, a standards system for integrated construction operation platforms capable of supporting the coordinated development of typical application fields such as high-rise buildings, long-span bridges, and nuclear power projects; and deepening research on the integration of advanced technologies such as intelligent construction equipment, construction robots, and intelligent perception, communications, and digital twins, to form an intelligent construction model featuring a high degree of integration and collaboration among humans, machines, and the environment. From having no high-rise buildings of a hundred meters to the sky building machine, and then to the construction of the standards system, China has undergone earth-shaking changes and achieved a magnificent transformation from quantitative change to qualitative change, with major national equipment constantly refreshing the urban skyline. We must remain true to our original aspiration, forge ahead with determination, and, driven by core technologies, continuously consolidate the innovative capacity of China Construction.

The sky building machine is an outstanding representative of scientific and technological innovation in China's construction industry. The construction industry is actively going global, continuously polishing the golden brand of China Construction. Standards are the common language of the world, and the formulation and updating of high-level standards is one of the hallmarks of a country's soft power; to some extent, standards represent the most core right of discourse. The Guidelines require that, relying on the comprehensive integrated demonstration of key projects in national intelligent construction pilot cities, entities involved in standards be guided to jointly formulate international standards and raise the level of standardization internationalization. We must uphold the concept of building a community with a shared future for mankind, place standardization in a more important position, realize the transformation of standards system work from being domestically driven to mutual promotion between domestic and international efforts, accelerate the pace of the standards system going global, and let China Construction reach the whole world.
