Recently, at the construction site of the 2×1,000 MW coal-power integrated expansion project of the Zhunda Power Plant of Inner Mongolia Energy Group in the Jungar Economic Development Zone, Inner Mongolia, pile drivers rose and fell and crane jibs lifted and lowered as more than 800 construction workers worked on the front line, racing against time to speed up progress and meet the construction schedule.
"At present, 35% of the main works has been completed. Boiler steel frame hoisting, foundation earthwork excavation for the plant buildings and other work are proceeding in an orderly manner, and we are making every effort to ensure the orderly progress of the project construction," said Liu Yu, head of the Engineering Department of Zhunda No. 2 Thermal Power Company of Inner Mongolia Energy Group Co., Ltd.
The project involves a total investment of 7.86 billion yuan and covers an area of 862.5 mu. Once completed, the project will effectively promote the local conversion of coal and provide reliable energy support for the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region to safeguard the secure supply of electricity and achieve the strategic goal of "sending coal by air and electricity to the whole country."
Providing the highest-quality and most precise services to safeguard project construction is an important mission of the Jungar Economic Development Zone. In recent days, groups of project service specialists have gone deep into various project construction sites, proactively showing concern and promptly relieving enterprises of difficulties.
"The park has dispatched project service officers to provide full-process tracking services from the handling of preliminary procedures to later-stage construction, enabling our enterprise to go into action with a light pack and devote itself wholeheartedly to project construction. The construction project is progressing steadily and is scheduled to be completed and put into operation in the second half of this year," said Tang Zhongbao, project leader of the industrial pilot project for producing aromatics from carbon dioxide/syngas of Inner Mongolia Jiutai Xinyuan New Materials Co., Ltd. He added that the project is a pilot demonstration project in which the company, building on its already completed and operational 1 million-ton methanol project and 600,000-ton olefins project, further extends the industrial chain and promotes the coupling of the traditional coal chemical industry with wind and solar new-energy hydrogen production and the coal chemical industry. Once completed, the project will be of great significance for the Jungar Economic Development Zone in promoting the clean and efficient use of coal.
In order to ensure that construction projects are completed early, reach full production early and yield results early, the Jungar Economic Development Zone has fully implemented the mechanisms of leadership liaison and special-task-force advancement. All staff of the Economic Development Bureau have become project service officers, proactively going deep into the front line of project construction to promptly coordinate and resolve difficulties and problems in project approval, factor guarantees and other aspects, and insisting on providing "one-stop" full-process and full-cycle tracking services from project initiation and procedure handling to completion acceptance, so as to escort the high-quality and efficient advancement of key projects.
