The Longjing City Wood Products Deep Processing Industrial Park Infrastructure Construction Project has a planned total investment of 347 million yuan, covers a land area of 73,516.25 square meters, and has a building area of 81,412.21 square meters. Construction began in March 2023 and is expected to be completed by the end of September this year. After the project is completed, put into production, and reaches design capacity, it is expected to achieve an annual output value of 150 million yuan and pay taxes of 12.5 million yuan. 

　　In April, the land of Yanbian enjoys mild spring weather, bright scenery, sprouting vegetation, and vibrant vitality. In recent days, at the construction sites of various key projects across Yanbian Prefecture, pile drivers rise and fall, crane booms stretch out, vehicles shuttle back and forth, and machines roar…… Stepping to the drumbeat of spring, construction is in full swing with great vigor. Throughout the prefecture, a surge of project construction is rising everywhere, like a “spring busy scene” telling Yanbian’s own “spring story.”

　　On April 15, at the cold-chain logistics construction project site in the Yanji International Airport Economic Development Zone, excavators and transport vehicles could be seen shuttling back and forth, various materials entering and leaving the site in an orderly manner, and workers busy with construction with great enthusiasm. Accompanied by the busy figures of the workers and the roar of machinery, the project site had a very strong atmosphere of vigorous construction.

　　The project covers a total land area of 56,990 square meters and adds a new building area of 46,784 square meters. It mainly includes the construction of 2 cold storage buildings, 1 comprehensive building, 1 shift dormitory, 1 comprehensive station building, and 3 guard rooms, as well as newly built supporting ancillary works such as plant roads, greening, lighting, and comprehensive pipe networks.

　　“At present, the project is undergoing exterior facade construction, interior decoration, and outdoor works, and is expected to be completed and put into use in December this year.” Project manager Zhang Yu introduced that after production begins, it will provide supporting cold-chain warehouses and other infrastructure and basic cold-chain logistics services for the airport zone. The airport zone cold-chain logistics project is the largest cold storage facility in Yanbian Prefecture, with an annual throughput of about 500,000 tons, and can add 500 jobs.

　　At the construction site of the Hunchun Silk Road Bohai Ancient Town Tourism Infrastructure Project, construction machinery such as excavators and loaders are operating at full power, and construction personnel are performing their respective duties and responsibilities, creating a busy scene on site.

　　“The project resumed construction on March 20, and more than 200 people have already arrived on site for construction; subsequently, this will increase to more than 500 people. At present, the construction focus is interior decoration and exterior greening and landscape layout, and the project is expected to be officially put into use before September 3.” Wang Xuebin, the person in charge of the project department, told reporters that the Hunchun Silk Road Bohai Ancient Town Tourism Infrastructure Project, with a planned total investment of 480 million yuan, is an important landmark project for Hunchun City to vigorously develop rural tourism and is being built in two phases. Phase I of the project has a planned investment of 330 million yuan, a land area of 86,600 square meters, and a building area of 28,000 square meters. It mainly includes a distribution center, the Deputy Dutong Yamen Museum, a landscape-themed plaza, a forest ecological area, and a landscape corridor bridge. Phase II has a planned investment of 150 million yuan and mainly includes a ski resort and a detached homestay area, and is expected to receive more than 300,000 tourists annually.

　　After the project is completed, it will play a positive demonstrative role in optimizing Hunchun’s tourism consumption environment, improving tourism infrastructure, cultivating new tourism consumption hotspots, comprehensively enhancing tourism service levels, and promoting the rapid development of the tourism industry.

　　The Xianru Irrigation District Renewal, Supporting Facilities, and Water-Saving Renovation Project in Dunhua City has been advancing in an orderly manner according to plan since construction began in September 2023, and 80% of the main works have now been completed.

　　“Now, we are organizing construction personnel to accelerate the completion of concrete pouring, rectangular channel construction, and other construction tasks.” The project manager introduced that the Xianru Irrigation District in Dunhua City is a medium-sized gravity-flow irrigation district with a barrage as its main water supply source. The project has a total investment of more than 19 million yuan, includes 40 newly built canal system structures, 5,895 meters of prefabricated rectangular channels, and 11,514 meters of channel treatment length.

　　After the project is completed, it will enable timely irrigation of 22,000 mu of cultivated land in the Xianru Irrigation District, improve the utilization coefficient of canal system water, reduce production water costs, and ease the burden on farmers. At the same time, it will improve the working conditions of the main canals, basically solve problems such as canal leakage and frost heave, and further enhance the irrigation and drainage guarantee capacity and comprehensive agricultural production capacity of farmland in the irrigation district.

　　Similarly, in Longjing City, Tumen City, Helong City, Wangqing County, and Antu County, there is everywhere a surge of vigorous effort and solid work to advance project construction. With the spirit of “striving,” the drive to “break through,” and a “practical” work style, they are making every effort to advance major project construction and, through concrete actions of high-quality development, getting Yanbian’s new journey off to a good start and a solid beginning.

　　This year, Yanbian Prefecture will continue to uphold the work concept of “projects first,” with 260 key projects of more than 50 million yuan included in the provincial assessment system, a total investment of 134.78 billion yuan, and an annual planned investment of 28.48 billion yuan. Among them, 121 projects are planned to newly start construction, with a total investment of 81.4 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 18.1 billion yuan; 139 projects are continued construction projects, with a total investment of 53.38 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 10.38 billion yuan. In order to concentrate efforts on researching, planning, introducing, and implementing key projects and continuously improve project support capacity, Yanbian Prefecture is actively organizing and implementing a series of activities such as “leadership contracting” “centralized project starts,” and the “Double Hundred Breakthroughs,” going all out to remove bottlenecks, strengthen guarantees, and optimize services, continuously advancing project construction progress, ensuring that projects are completed early, put into production early, and reach effectiveness early, and promoting Yanbian’s high-quality economic development through high-quality project construction.
