From April 11 to 14, Phase I of Qingdao Metro Line 6 successfully passed the pre-initial-operation safety assessment organized by the Qingdao Municipal Transport Bureau, marking that the line meets the conditions for initial operation and opening. Phase I of Line 6 is a TACS demonstration project designated by the National Development and Reform Commission and a major project designated by the provincial government. The project is located in the West Coast New Area of Qingdao, starting at Xintun Road Station and ending at Shengtaiyuan Station, with a total length of 30.76 kilometers. It runs along major arterial roads such as Kaicheng Road, Changjiang West Road, Jiangshan South Road, and Tuanjie Road, with 21 underground stations and a maximum operating speed of 100 kilometers per hour. After opening, the line will become the industry's ** formal line to adopt a fully independent TACS system, enabling transfers with Line 1 and the West Coast Express Line, connecting and shortening the space-time distance between the various functional zones along the route, and providing more convenient rail transit support for the construction of the *** New Area.

22 industry experts from Shanghai, Wuhan, Chengdu, Ningbo, Shaoxing, and other places conducted a comprehensive, in-depth, and rigorous review of the construction and operation preparations of Phase I of Line 6 by listening to reports, conducting on-site surveys, system testing, and reviewing materials. The Provincial Department of Transport supervised and guided the assessment work. The expert group unanimously agreed that all indicators of Phase I of Line 6 meet the requirements of the pre-initial-operation safety assessment specifications and that the project passed the pre-initial-operation safety assessment. Next, the Provincial Department of Transport will earnestly implement its industry regulatory responsibilities, strictly follow relevant procedures, and supervise and guide Qingdao in carrying out various preparatory work before the initial operation of Phase I of Line 6 to ensure that the line opens for operation on schedule.
