On April 17 local time, the National Cultural Heritage Administration successfully recovered 38 lost cultural relics and artworks from the United States. The return ceremony was held at the Chinese Consulate General in New York, where the Manhattan District Attorney's Office handed over the 38 seized Chinese lost cultural relics and artworks to the Chinese government.

After preliminary appraisal, experts determined that most of the relics are Chinese Tibetan Buddhist artifacts from the Ming and Qing dynasties, including stupas, Buddha statues, and Buddhist ornaments, covering materials such as copper, clay, ivory, and wood. They are rich in content, well preserved, and of significant historical, artistic, and scientific value.
