On April 15, 2024, as the last set of 25-meter track panels was smoothly laid on the track bed at Daxue Zhonglu Station, it marked the full "track connection" of the northeast section of Phase I of Zhengzhou Rail Transit Line 6, laying a solid foundation for subsequent construction and no-load trial operation.

　　It is reported that Phase I of Line 6 is an urban rail transit backbone line covering the southwest-to-northeast axis of Zhengzhou, starting from Jiayu Station in Xingyang City in the west and ending at Tsinghua High School Affiliated Station in Zhengdong New District in the east. The line is constructed in two phases. The first opened section starts from Jiayu Station in Xingyang City and ends at Changzhuang Station in Zhongyuan District, with 10 stations, and was opened for operation on September 30, 2022. The northeast section starts from Fengwan Station in Zhongyuan District and ends at Tsinghua High School Affiliated Station in Zhengdong New District, with 18 stations.

　　To ensure smooth track laying, Zhengzhou Metro Group Co., Ltd. set up a dedicated working team and worked closely with all participating units to resolve and clear construction difficulties and bottlenecks such as major cross-construction interference in the track area, high safety risks, and complicated work procedures. Since March, the construction unit has been organized to use mobile rail flash butt welding equipment, setting a construction record of 750 meters per single shift per day. At the same time, various ventilation measures were strictly required to be implemented, 24-hour on-duty safety management by duty personnel was enforced, and the safety and quality bottom line was strictly upheld, ensuring the smooth completion of key milestones.

　　After the Phase I project of Zhengzhou Metro Line 6 is completed, it will connect Xingyang City, Zhongyuan District, Erqi District, Guancheng District, and Zhengdong New District, further densify the rail transit network, ease urban traffic pressure, and greatly facilitate residents' daily travel.
