On April 15, the first 40+56+40-meter continuous girder of the Mianshui Grand Bridge, the longest extra-large bridge on the entire Ruimei Railway and one of the 102 key projects designated in the National 14th Five-Year Plan Outline, was successfully closed. The bridge is being constructed by China Railway No. 5 Engineering Group. This is the first continuous girder to be closed on the entire line, marking major progress in the construction of the Ruimei Railway.

　　The Mianshui Grand Bridge of the Ruimei Railway is located in Ruijin City, Jiangxi Province. It is the longest bridge on the entire line, crossing the G35 expressway and spanning the Mianshui River twice, making construction organization and safety management extremely difficult.

　　The Ruimei Railway is one of the 102 key projects designated in the National 14th Five-Year Plan Outline and is a national first-class single-track electrified mixed passenger and freight railway. Once completed, it will become a rapid corridor integrating red culture and Hakka culture, and will play an important role in improving the railway network in the Jiangxi-Guangdong region, strengthening transport links between the Pearl River Delta and eastern Guangdong and the central region, implementing the revitalization and development plan for the former Central Soviet Area in Jiangxi, Fujian and Guangdong, consolidating and expanding the achievements of poverty alleviation, promoting coordinated regional development, and driving the rapid economic development of the old revolutionary base areas.
