The reporter learned from China Railway Shanghai Group Co., Ltd. that at 20:18 on April 13, at the construction site of Section A of the Cixi Grand Bridge on the east side of Longbao Road in Qianwan New Area, Ningbo City, after 20 consecutive hours of hard work by construction workers, the **continuous girder of Section A of the Cixi Grand Bridge on the Nantong-Suzhou-Jiaxing-Ningbo High-Speed Railway was successfully poured, marking phased progress in the bridge's construction.
Section A of the Cixi Grand Bridge is located within Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province. The bridge starts from Shitang Hengjiang in Andong Town, Qianwan New Area, Ningbo City in the north and extends to Sizhaojiang in Kandun Town, Cixi City, Ningbo City in the south, with a total length of about 13.5 kilometers. The bridge adopts a design of double-track simply supported box girder prefabrication and double-track expansion continuous girders, with a total of 12 continuous girders and a maximum span of 112 meters. It features high design standards, high safety risks, high environmental protection requirements, and great construction difficulty.
The **continuous girder poured this time adopts a span arrangement of (34 m + 48 m + 36 m), with a bridge deck width of 12.6 meters and a girder depth of 3.035 meters at the section center. The cast-in-place method on scaffolding was used to pour the concrete for the entire continuous unit in a single operation, with a total of 1,408.45 cubic meters of concrete poured and 289.654 tons of steel reinforcement used.
To ensure the smooth pouring of the **continuous girder, the construction management unit, Shanghai-Hangzhou Passenger Dedicated Line Company, organized the construction unit, CCCC Second Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd., to scientifically formulate the construction plan. In accordance with the work requirements of "meticulous, fine, exquisite, and premium," they organized innovation in construction techniques, conducted safety technical briefings in advance, implemented full-process standardized management of on-site construction, and arranged dedicated safety officers to work alongside the crews, ensuring orderly coordination of all processes and controllable quality and safety.
The newly built Nantong-Ningbo High-Speed Railway starts from Nantong West Station, runs south through Suzhou City in Jiangsu Province and Jiaxing City and Ningbo City in Zhejiang Province, and connects to Ningbo Station in the Ningbo hub. The newly built line is 301 kilometers long, with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour and a construction period of 5 years. The entire line has 10 stations: Nantong West, Zhangjiagang, Changshu West, Suzhou North, Suzhou South, Jiashan North, Jiaxing South, Haiyan, Cixi, and Zhuangqiao, among which Changshu West, Suzhou South, Jiashan North, Haiyan, and Cixi are newly built stations.
The Nantong-Ningbo High-Speed Railway is an important component of the coastal corridor of China's "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed rail network and holds a very important position in the road network. After the project is completed, it will connect with multiple lines already in operation, including the Yancheng-Nantong High-Speed Railway, the Shanghai-Nanjing Riverside High-Speed Railway, the Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed Railway, the Shanghai-Kunming High-Speed Railway, and the Ningbo-Taizhou-Wenzhou High-Speed Railway, further improving the layout of the road network structure in the Yangtze River Delta region.
