Since the beginning of this year, various regions in Jiangsu have made every effort to advance major engineering and construction projects to start early and proceed quickly. First-quarter construction progress outpaced the scheduled requirements, achieving a "good start" and "stable start."

This year, Jiangsu has arranged a total of 510 provincial major engineering and construction projects, with an annual planned investment of 640.8 billion yuan. Statistics show that 166.9 billion yuan was invested in the first quarter, a completion rate of 26%, slightly higher than the same period last year. Of the 228 projects planned to newly start, 128 have already begun. Among them, the start rates in the four cities of Nanjing, Wuxi, Zhenjiang, and Suqian have exceeded two-thirds.

As a series of favorable policies, including the 20 measures for private economic development introduced at the beginning of the year, are gradually implemented, in the first quarter, key provincial private investment projects successfully achieved more than half started, with 14.92 billion yuan in investment completed. Among the 124 provincial major manufacturing projects planned to be put into operation this year, 33 have already been smoothly commissioned, generating an output value of 30.5 billion yuan.

Next, Jiangsu will closely focus on the target requirement of a "75% start rate in the first half of the year," seize the golden construction period, step up efforts to advance projects put into operation, further improve factor guarantees, and enable projects to start construction, be put into operation, and achieve results as early as possible.
