On the 14th, reporters learned from the Kunming Exit-Entry Border Inspection Station that on the 12th, the station processed a cumulative total of over 10,000 inbound and outbound passengers at Kunming Port, setting a new single-day record for passenger flow in four years.

　　With the continuous optimization of exit-entry policies, an increase in the number of summer flight season flights, the Water Splashing Festival and other factors combined, since April the average daily inbound and outbound passenger flow at Kunming Port has reached over 8,300 person-times, a year-on-year increase of 273%, showing a trend of rapid growth.

　　On the 12th, among outbound passengers, the majority were short-term tourists traveling to Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and other countries. Among inbound passengers, foreign nationals exceeded 2,800 person-times, accounting for 53.4%. Among them, visa-free foreign nationals exceeded 2,000 person-times, accounting for 72.5% of inbound foreign nationals. Thai and Malaysian tourists traveling to China in groups constituted the main force of visa-free foreign national inbound passenger flow, accounting for 60.5% and 29.2% respectively.

　　In order to properly respond to the passenger flow peak and facilitate customs clearance for inbound and outbound passengers, the Kunming Border Inspection Station closely monitored changes in passenger flow, scientifically organized duty arrangements, deployed sufficient police forces, and opened inspection channels in advance. At the same time, it continuously optimized guide signs, dispatched additional guiding police forces, strengthened customs clearance assistance, and provided clearance convenience for the elderly, weak, sick, disabled, young, pregnant, urgent and special-needs passengers, making every effort to ensure safe and smooth customs clearance at the port.
