Spring is bright and flowers are in full bloom. Walking into the picturesque spring scenes across various places, one can feel the colorful splendor and vibrant vitality.
Right now, the rare plant community of dove trees (Davidia involucrata) located on the western slope of Fanjing Mountain in Guizhou has entered its full blooming period. Tens of thousands of dove tree flowers are blooming successively in the mountains; the white blossoms flutter in the wind like white doves dancing across the sky, extending from the valley up to the mountainside. The dove tree is a national first-class protected plant that originated 60 million years ago. Pristine dove tree forests are very rare and are known as living fossils of the plant kingdom.
In recent years, as the local area has continued to strengthen ecological and environmental protection, wild and artificially cultivated dove tree communities have gradually increased on the western slope of Fanjing Mountain.
With gusts of spring breeze, the chinquapin trees in Meizhou, Guangdong, are blooming across the fields. Thousands of clusters of yellow-white flowers cover the branches like stars; viewed from afar, they resemble white snow blanketing green mountains, while up close they look like icicles hanging from the branches.
The chinquapin tree, whose scientific name is Castanopsis, has hard wood. It blooms each year at the turn of spring and summer, and in autumn it produces a fruit called "chinquapin nut," which is sweet, fragrant, and crisp. It can be eaten roasted or used to make wine, and is deeply loved by local people.
Spring breeze brings warmth, and people go out to enjoy the flowers. In recent days, at Dujuan Ridge in Jinzhai, Anhui, ten thousand mu of azaleas have entered their full blooming period. The spring green of the mountains and fields contrasts beautifully with the red azaleas; as the mountain wind blows, red waves roll, creating a splendid spring picture of a mountain village.
As the local area develops the integration of agriculture, culture, and tourism, rural tourism continues to heat up. Jinzhai County is striving to create one distinctive product per village and has launched different premium flower-viewing tour routes, using flowers as a medium to drive economic development and support rural revitalization.
These days, spring flowers are blooming in large patches in the suburbs of Beijing, filling the mountains and fields with fragrance and romance and attracting many tourists to admire the flowers and enjoy spring outings.
At the Hongluo Temple Scenic Area in Huairou, Beijing, more than 200,000 alpine azaleas scattered among ancient pine forests are blooming brilliantly, forming beautiful scenic belts. The bougainvillea in the mountains is also in full bloom. Tourists immerse themselves in the colorful sea of flowers and feel the strong breath of spring.
Tourist Ms. Cao: The scenery here is very nice, there are many kinds of flowers, and the colors are beautiful too. There are magnolias, bougainvillea, and azaleas. Spring is in the air, and I think it is really great.
In Luzishui Village, Puwa Township, Fangshan, Beijing, a thousand mu of apricot blossoms have entered their best viewing period, and the apricot groves spread along the mountains are blooming intensely. The apricot groves provide pollen sources for Chinese honeybees at nearby apiaries. Once the fruit ripens, dried apricots, apricot kernels, and other products will also become sought-after local specialties.
