On the 10th, the reporter learned from China Railway 12th Bureau Group Co., Ltd. that the pile foundations for the hundred-meter-high piers of the Chengkou Renhe Grand Bridge in the Kangyu section of the Xi'an-Chongqing High-Speed Railway, constructed by the bureau, were all poured and completed on that day. As a controlling node project of the entire bridge, this marks the bridge's entry into the stage of full-scale construction of the high piers.

　　The Chengkou Renhe Grand Bridge is located within Chengkou County, Chongqing Municipality, and is a major and difficult project along the entire Xi'an-Chongqing High-Speed Railway. The bridge has a total length of 1,184.47 meters, with the tallest pier reaching 132 meters and a tower height of 30 meters.

　　According to Wang Fei, on-site deputy manager of the Second Sub-division of the First Bid Section Project Department for the Kangyu section of the Xi'an-Chongqing High-Speed Railway under China Railway 12th Bureau Group Co., Ltd., the Renhe Grand Bridge is designed with a total of 345 pile foundations and 19 pile caps (17 pier bodies and 2 abutments). Among them, there are 5 hundred-meter-high piers with 84 designed pile foundations, all of which have now been poured and completed.

　　Wang Fei stated that since the drilling of the first pile of the Renhe Grand Bridge in April 2023, in the face of many unfavorable factors such as complex geological conditions, flood seasons, and extreme weather, the project construction team, through scientific, refined, green, and intelligent management, effectively ensured pile foundation construction and successfully completed all pile foundation works for the hundred-meter-high piers within the node schedule, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent construction of the bridge.

　　It is reported that the Xi'an-Chongqing High-Speed Railway has a total length of 739 kilometers and a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. It is an important component of the Beijing-Kunming corridor from Beijing to Kunming in the national "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed railway network and of the Bao (Yin)-Hai corridor from Baotou and Yinchuan to Haikou. After completion and opening to traffic, it will further improve the national comprehensive three-dimensional transportation network and strengthen the connection between the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle and the Guanzhong Plain urban agglomeration. It will also end the history of Chengkou County having no railway, let alone high-speed rail, achieve arrival from Chengkou to the central urban area of Chongqing in just over one hour, and form a one-to-two-hour economic circle with surrounding central cities such as Xi'an and Chengdu.
