Recently, the feasibility study reports and investment estimates for a batch of major construction projects in Xiamen's off-island areas—including bridge maintenance, municipal roads, and public service facilities—have been officially approved by the Xiamen Municipal Development and Reform Commission.

　　Jimei Bridge Maintenance, Reinforcement and Treatment Project

　　The feasibility study report with investment estimate for the Jimei Bridge Maintenance, Reinforcement and Treatment Project has passed approval. It is reported that the Jimei Bridge was officially put into use in July 2008 and has been in service for more than 15 years. The maintenance and reinforcement project will improve the bridge's load-bearing capacity and traffic capacity, extend its service life, and meet greater transportation demands.
　　The project mainly involves maintenance and reinforcement of the substructures of the main bridge and approach bridges of the offshore section of the Jimei Bridge. Construction content includes reinforcing 10 bridge piers with small pile caps; grouting and filling repairs: 45 locations on pile cap surfaces, 23 locations at the joints between pile foundations and pile caps, and 17 locations at the joints between bridge piers and pile caps; and comprehensive inspection and specialized testing of the substructure of the sea-crossing section of the Jimei Bridge. The total investment estimate for the project is 26.57 million yuan.

　　Over the past two years, construction in the Tongxiang High-tech New City area has been increasingly improved. From road construction to supporting projects such as electric power and public services, it provides more complete and convenient public transportation, greening, and infrastructure supporting services for the incubation and development of Xiamen's high-tech industries.
　　Recently, the feasibility study report with investment estimate for the utility tunnel project along Neian Avenue–Fangshan Substation in the Xiang'an area of Tongxiang High-tech New City has been approved. The total investment estimate for the project is approximately 220 million yuan. The project starts at Neian Avenue, passes through Neitianxi Road, Fangyang East 3rd Road, and Fangshan North 2nd Road, and ends at the 220 kV Fangshan Substation, with a total route length of 3.259 kilometers. The main construction content includes a newly built single-cabin power utility tunnel with a length of 2.737 kilometers. Among this, the newly built single-cabin pipe-jacking power utility tunnel has a length of 0.49 kilometers.
　　In addition, the feasibility study report with investment estimate for the industrial public service supporting construction project in the Tong'an area of Tongxiang High-tech New City—the Huiju Road (Binhai East Avenue–Xingxian Road Section) Project—has also been approved. The project starts in the west at Binhai East Avenue and ends in the east at Xingxian Road, with a total road length of 276 meters, two lanes in both directions, and is built as an urban branch road. The main construction content includes road, traffic, rainwater, sewage, water supply, lighting, greening, and communications projects. The total investment estimate for the project is 6.57 million yuan.

　　Recently, the feasibility study report for the greening project supporting the contiguous development of the Dongyuan plot in the start-up area of the Xiang'an Southern Area has been approved. The project mainly involves setback greening on the south side of Xiang'an South Road (Xidong Road–Maoyuan Road Section) and setback greening on the east side of Jiuxi Road (Xiang'an South Road–Xiaogao Road Section), with a total area of approximately 24,619 square meters. Construction content includes greening engineering, earthwork engineering, supporting irrigation systems, and site drainage facilities.

　　Xiawu Road Project in the Lianhe Area of Xiamen New Airport

　　The feasibility study report for the Xiawu Road (Binhai South Avenue–Wangdeng Road) Project in the Lianhe Area of Xiamen New Airport shows that the project starts at Binhai South Avenue and ends at Wangdeng Road, is built to the standard of an urban secondary trunk road, and has a total length of 893 meters. At the same time, a combined conduit-type cable utility tunnel with a length of 788 meters and a 1.8×1.4-meter trench-type cable utility tunnel with a length of 257 meters will be laid along the road. The main construction content includes road engineering, traffic engineering, rainwater engineering, sewage engineering, water supply engineering, cable utility tunnel engineering, lighting engineering, greening engineering, etc.

　　Municipal Public Security Bureau Archives Building Project

　　The feasibility study report for the project of the Municipal Public Security Bureau Archives Building, Lianqian Traffic Police Squadron, and the public service window business buildings for vehicle and driver management certification on the island shows that the project is located on the southwest side of the intersection of Honglian Middle 2nd Road and Honglian Road in Siming District, with a land area of 4,663 square meters and a total construction area of 21,100 square meters. Among this, the above-ground construction area is 16,600 square meters. The main construction content includes public security archives business buildings, Lianqian Traffic Police Squadron and public service window business buildings for vehicle and driver management certification on the island, and outdoor supporting facilities, etc. The underground construction area is 4,500 square meters, mainly for underground parking lots, etc. The total investment estimate for the project is 130 million yuan.
