Recently, the first underground diaphragm wall reinforcement cage at Chenjiazhen Station on the Shanghai Rail Transit Chongming Line was successfully lifted and lowered into the trench, marking the start of construction at Chenjiazhen Station.

　　Chenjiazhen Station is located at the intersection of the planned Chentong Road and Chennan Highway in Chenjiazhen, Chongming District. Situated in the "gateway" area of Chenjiazhen, it is the first station on the line reaching Chongming Island proper. After the line opens for operation in the future, passengers will be able to distribute to various parts of the island via the Chenjiazhen comprehensive transportation hub, making it an intensive transportation distribution center for the Chongming area.

　　Since entering the site in December 2023, Shanghai Metro has organized all participating construction units to strictly control quality and ensure that construction quality meets design and specification requirements. Adapting to local conditions, they carefully planned the site layout and construction scheme and advanced diaphragm wall construction work according to plan. Next, all participating units will continue to adhere to the principle of "safety first, quality foremost" to ensure the successful completion of construction tasks.

　　As a regional line quickly connecting Chongming District with Shanghai's central urban area, the Shanghai Rail Transit Chongming Line passes through Chongming Island, Changxing Island and Pudong New Area, and its construction will add strong momentum to Chongming's development. Chenjiazhen Station on the Chongming Line is located in the plot east of the intersection of the planned Chentong Road and Chennan Highway. It is an underground two-level station with one island platform and one side platform, and includes one stabling track. The main structure is arranged north-south along Chentong Road and crosses Chennan Highway. The main station type is an underground two-level cut-and-cover station with one island platform and one side platform. The station center mileage is SK33+486.643, the main structure measures 415.5 m (clear internal length) x 29.6 m (clear internal width), and the effective platform scale is 140 m * (10 m + 7.5 m).

　　The Chongming Line has a total of 8 stations, 5 intermediate ventilation shafts (including large and small shield conversion sections), and 2 parking lots (depots). At present, the main structures of Gaobao Road Station and the 2 large and small shield conversion sections have been topped out; foundation pit excavation is underway at 4 stations—Jinji Road Station, Shenjiang Road Station, Lingkong North Road Station and Dongtan Station; Changxing Island Station has entered the structural backfilling construction stage; Chenjiazhen Station has recently officially started diaphragm wall construction; and pile foundation construction is being advanced simultaneously at the 2 parking lots. In addition, a total of 3 shield machines are currently advancing, among which the South Port large shield has cumulatively advanced to ring 3131 (out of a total of 3871 rings, a completion rate of about 81%); the North Port large shield has cumulatively completed 2689 rings (out of a total of 4512 rings, a completion rate of about 60%); the section between Changxing Island Station and the No. 2 large and small shield conversion shaft has achieved double-line breakthrough; the upward line from Changxing Island Station to the No. 1 large and small shield conversion shaft has cumulatively advanced 35 rings (out of a total of 1218 rings, a completion rate of 3#); and the downward line shield is planned to launch in late April.
