Recently, the right tube of the Sanjia Wopeng Tunnel in Section 10 of the Benhuan Expressway Project, constructed by China Railway Beijing Engineering Group, was successfully holed through, marking the successful breakthrough of both tubes of the Sanjia Wopeng Tunnel. This is the first long tunnel on the entire Benhuan Expressway line to achieve breakthrough of both tubes. As an important component of the Benhuan Expressway Project, the smooth breakthrough of the Sanjia Wopeng Tunnel has played a positive role in promoting the subsequent construction of the entire project, and has also laid a solid foundation for achieving the goal of opening to traffic at an early date.

　　The Sanjia Wopeng Tunnel is located in Sanjia Wopeng Village, Huanren Manchu Autonomous County, Benxi City, Liaoning Province. It is a separated tunnel, with a left tube totaling 1,775 meters in length and a right tube totaling 1,761 meters. The tunnel adopts high-standard information-based equipment and facilities, including a pedestrian-vehicle separation turnstile system, tunnel video monitoring system, automatic personnel positioning system, emergency voice alarm system, automatic safety step-distance monitoring system, LED intelligent display system, and automatic environmental monitoring system, enhancing safety control through intelligent management facilities. Under the premise of ensuring quality, quantity, and safety, the tunnel works were advanced in an orderly manner, ultimately achieving precise breakthrough.

　　It is reported that the Benhuan Expressway is one of the key projects in the “14th Five-Year Plan” comprehensive transportation development plan of Liaoning Province, with a total route length of 254.94 kilometers. Among them, the section constructed by China Railway Beijing Engineering Group has a total length of 22.166 kilometers, located within Huanren Manchu Autonomous County, and is an important component of Liaoning Province's “one circle, one belt, two zones” regional development pattern.
