Public security organs in all localities have adhered to the principle of promoting management through crackdown, and through measures such as listing major cases for supervision, providing guidance and scheduling on individual cases, and summarizing and analyzing similar cases, they have struck hard in accordance with the law at illegal and criminal acts of fabricating and spreading rumor information online. They have organized dedicated forces to focus on internet celebrities and verified big Vs who fabricate and spread false information to "create hot topics," "hitch onto hot topics," and "set the rhythm," on "internet water armies" that drive traffic for profit, and on MCN agencies operating behind the scenes, digging deep and thoroughly investigating the criminal chains of the black and gray industries, and pushing the special campaign to go deeper and more substantive.

According to statistics, since the launch of the special campaign, Shaanxi public security organs have investigated and handled more than 300 online rumor cases, investigated and dealt with more than 1,000 netizens who fabricated or spread rumors in accordance with the law, cleaned up more than 1,600 pieces of online rumor information, and shut down more than 300 illegal and non-compliant accounts.
