The Hangzhou Bay Cross-Sea Railway Bridge has a total length of 29.2 kilometers. Hangzhou Bay is one of the world's three major strong-tide bays and is a typical "trumpet-shaped bay," with a maximum tidal range of 8.69 meters and a maximum flow velocity of 5.3 meters per second, featuring large tidal ranges, strong scouring, rapid flow velocities, deep silt layers, and frequent shallow gas.

To enable high-speed trains to fly across Hangzhou Bay

the pile foundation work is indeed highly challenging

only true strength could handle it

New challenges, new construction methods. The deepest pile foundation hole exceeds 156 meters. During the bored pile construction process, XCMG worked with project personnel to innovatively adopt a combined process of "rotary drilling for pilot holes through the overburden layer" and "reverse circulation drilling for hole formation," ensuring borehole verticality. With 240 hours of continuous construction, the first pile task was successfully completed.

High-power engines, multi-gear drilling modes, super-large torque power heads, large-plate box-type structural rotary platforms—the newly upgraded "F" series XCMG rotary drilling rigs offer higher efficiency, stronger rock-penetration capability, more stable operation, and more convenient disassembly, assembly, and transport of the entire machine.

Construction pile diameters of 2.5–2.8 meters, average pile depth of 131 meters, and an average of one completed pile every 3 days... Competing on hole-forming speed and pile quality, XCMG delivered a satisfactory answer to the construction party.

Meeting the diverse needs of application scenarios with excellent product quality, XCMG Foundation strives for perfection and pursues excellence, demonstrating the hardcore strength of a great power's major equipment. As the early-stage construction steadily advances, various types of XCMG equipment are successively arriving at the project frontline, and the combat corps continues to grow.
