How to avoid job-hunting traps such as "paid internal referrals" and "intern nesting dolls"
The Ministry of Education offers four "secret tips" to graduates
The Ministry of Education recently issued a notice reminding college graduates to raise their awareness of prevention during the job-hunting period, firmly master four "job-hunting secret tips," avoid falling into recruitment traps, and achieve early and smooth employment.
Currently, during the "golden March and silver April" golden period for job hunting and employment, some lawbreakers often take the opportunity to dig "pits" and set traps. Chaotic phenomena such as "paid internal referrals," "paid employment," and "intern nesting dolls" occur from time to time, seriously harming the employment rights and interests of college graduates. The Ministry of Education reminds graduates to be alert to job-hunting scams and not to fight an unprepared battle.
Be alert to "paid internal referrals." "Paid internal referrals" refer to certain institutions promising job seekers positions in high-paying industries, but requiring payment of related service fees. "Paid internal referrals" are suspected of unfair competition and fraud, and the job seekers involved find it difficult to assert their rights and interests. When job hunting, do not easily believe recruitment information that has no requirements at all and offers unusually high salaries and benefits. After all, pies do not fall from the sky; what falls is often a trap.
Be alert to "intern nesting dolls." "Intern nesting dolls" refers to employees of certain employers, or even informal employees, recruiting interns in the name of the employer, thereby assigning their own work tasks to them to obtain free labor, or conducting "paid internships." When job hunting, look for internship or employment positions through formal channels to avoid falling into the trap of "getting something for nothing."
Be alert to "fake recruitment." "Fake recruitment" refers to employers or illegal intermediary agencies conducting false publicity, charging job seekers high intermediary fees, but delaying or simply failing to perform the contract. When job hunting, verify information such as the business registration and corporate credit of the recruiting enterprise or intermediary agency. Be cautious about recruitment that makes prior payment a condition.
Be alert to "illegal pyramid schemes." "Illegal pyramid schemes" refer to organizers obtaining illegal benefits by developing personnel and requiring them to purchase goods or the like. Pyramid schemes are illegal acts. When job hunting, consciously resist various temptations, establish awareness of prevention and refusal of pyramid schemes, and once suspicious circumstances are found or you are cheated, immediately dial 110 to report to the police.
In response to related job-hunting issues, the Ministry of Education puts forward four suggestions to college graduates: First, use formal job-hunting channels. Obtain job-hunting information through official websites such as the National College Student Employment Service Platform, the Guopin Platform, and university employment websites, or by participating in various recruitment activities organized by schools. Second, promptly verify recruitment information. Confirm whether an employer is legally registered by checking its business information. Verify recruitment information through the employer's official website or by calling the official telephone number, and learn about the employer's background through multiple channels. Third, always protect personal information. No unit or individual has the right to retain the original documents of others. During the job-hunting process, do not easily hand over original personal documents to others or disclose bank card or online banking passwords. When copies or photocopies of documents are indeed required, indicate the specific purpose in an appropriate place. Fourth, persist in using legal weapons. If your lawful rights and interests are infringed upon, retain evidence at the first opportunity and immediately dial 12333 or go to the human resources and social security department to file a complaint or report. If your personal safety is threatened or harmed, immediately dial 110 to report to the public security department.
