Chongqing's Key Industrial Projects Complete Investment of 20.1 Billion Yuan

　　Recently, the municipal government held the 2nd meeting of the 2024 biweekly on-site scheduling regular meeting on the industrial economy's "focus on projects, promote efficiency enhancement," to review the first-quarter industrial development of 13 districts including Bishan and Fuling. Data shows that in the first quarter, 264 municipal-level key industrial projects in the city completed an investment of 20.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 17.6%, and the construction of major industrial projects achieved a "good start."

　　A batch of municipal-level key projects releasing investment volume was the biggest highlight of the city's industrial economic development in the first quarter. Among the 107 municipal-level newly started projects, 44 projects including the Changshou BASF polyurethane MDI optimization and upgrading project started construction; 157 municipal-level major projects including the Xiamen HiTHIUM Southwest Intelligent Manufacturing Center were accelerated; the city's 332 key projects in the investment and production-reaching category completed an output value of 107.8 billion yuan, with newly added output value of 32.8 billion yuan.

　　Major projects connect investment on one end and consumption on the other, and are a key lever for promoting high-quality economic development. Since the beginning of this year, the municipal government has established a biweekly on-site scheduling meeting mechanism for the industrial economy's "focus on projects, promote efficiency enhancement," further mobilizing the enthusiasm of all departments and districts and counties to focus on projects and promote investment, resolving a batch of difficulties and problems in project advancement, creating a strong atmosphere of "vigorously pursuing projects and pursuing major projects," and effectively driving the construction of the city's major industrial projects to achieve a "good start." Next, our city will advance the "list of six categories of key projects" on a rolling basis, promote the implementation of more high-quality manufacturing projects, form "hard support" for major projects, and continuously consolidate the momentum of high-quality development of the city's manufacturing industry.
